cfEasyAlbum Demo
This is a sample install of cfEasyAlbum.
This application was written by Vince Collins of ECoast Jobs LLC www.ecoastjobs.com.
I have used a variation of this tool for a long time but I finally decided to create a 'generisized' version of it at the request of a few others.
The first 'official' release date was Sept 27th, 2007 with subsequent releases to follow.
This is a simple to integrate application that only requires ColdFusion 6.1 or higher. NO DATABASE IS REQUIRED!!!
The whole point of this application was to keep it simple. The goal was to remove the complexities of databases and other tools and thus allow you to simply convert your photos and ftp them up to the server in a self-defined structure. Tools like Picasa, which is what I use, allow you to do this easily by exporting from your albums. All you have to do at that point is upload your photo folder via ftp and you are done. The album is nicely displayed instantly. No clunky individual image uploading, no database updating.
In version 1.01 you now have an administrative section which optionally allows you to upload multiple photos at one time and create albums dynamcially instead of having to use FTP. Test-Drive the Administration section now. username is 'admin' password is 'demo'
You can add an unlimited amount of albums and it is plenty fast
There are really only a couple of rules you need to follow for this to work.
- 1) Thumbnails and 'display' sizes are required. print or original is optional
- 2) All sizes of a given photo must be the exact same name. This is how we link them together
- 3) The name of the folder that houses each album is used for the name of the album.
